Englischer Dichter. ✽ um 1330(?). Er verfasste seine allegorischen, didaktisch-gesellschaftskritischen Werke in drei Sprachen: französisch das „Speculum meditantis“, lateinisch die „Vox clamantis“ und die „Chronica tripartita“, englisch die „Confessio amantis“. † 1408.
